  3. Using Adobe Type Manager version 2.03 with System 7.1
  4.

  6. In System 7.1, all screen and printer fonts are stored in a folder
  7. named Fonts. If you have Adobe Type Manager 2.03 and the type you see
  8. on the screen is not displayed smoothly, you must move any PostScript
  9. printer (outline) fonts located in the Fonts folder to the Extensions
  10. folder.

  13. Installing System 7.1 over System 7.0
  14.  
  15. When you install System 7.1 over System 7.0, most bitmapped and
  16. TrueType fonts are moved to the Fonts folder, with the exception of the
  17. Chicago, Geneva, and Monaco fonts, which remain in the System files.
  18. Any PostScript fonts located at the root level of the System folder or
  19. in the Extensions folder are not moved to the Fonts folder and can be
  20. located by ATM 2.03.

  22. When using ATM 2.03 with System 7.1, please use the following
  23. installation procedure to install additional PostScript fonts.

  26. Installing Adobe PostScript Type 1 Fonts in System 7.1 using ATM
  27. version 2.03

  29. 1_    Quit all applications and close all open windows on the desktop;
  30.     then locate and double-click the System folder to open it.
  31. 2_    Insert the fonts software disk into the disk drive and
  32.     double-click the disk icon to open it.
  33. 3_    Drag the bitmapped font file from the font disk into the Fonts
  34.     folder in the System folder.
  35. 4_    Drag the PostScript outline font files from the fonts disk into
  36.     the Extensions folder in the System folder.
  37. 5_    Restart your computer.
